The future is in our hands….

Again, you can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something – your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life.

You mean this post has been sitting here with no comments all this time? WTF? I’m in the middle of crazy days, T, but I will find time to blogjack ya somehow. Trust me when I say that I know the empty feeling of layin’ it on the table only to be ignored. I’m here, just distracted. More later.

My hammer slinging compadre. I hope your doing well out there on the road and hopefully making plenty of scratch.I too have been distracted of late but have enjoyed your blog from afar lurking in the shadows. Usually when (it) goes silent I believe a man is either not connecting with his audience or his audience has nothing to add. I also believe that as time passes and (it) takes form the audience changes as well evolving or devolving into a symbiotic rhythm much like the tides. I always wanted (it) to be an experimental site in which crazy ideas and foolish pursuits are followed until they reach the end of the road. Because, although what I do on a daily basis would surely hit a much bigger demographic I never wanted to bring the tool bag, blueprints, architects, engineers, designers, clients and problems home with me. I have seen first hand what bringing it home with you can do to a man. So here I stand with it all out on the table. I suppose more than anything we use (it) to leave a trail to anyone else out there searching for lost causes and foolishness. Anytime I have had great success in my life its been a result of hanging it out there. So tonight after I get home from building cabinets I will throw up a toast to hanging it out there more often and with more gusto. Silence be damned…..

Time to throw on the belt.

On the Llano River. Day 2. On the Llano. Our biannual trip to Terra Firma has begun. πŸ‘πŸŽ£πŸ›ΆπŸ›ΆπŸ₯“πŸ₯©πŸ»πŸ·πŸ₯ƒ Sunday morning was spent trying to do a hard reset on my consciousness. Be the leaf....Be the leaf.....don’t fight the current....use the current. Easier said then done. Happy Sunday friends. Not ready to let go of the weekend yet. So it begins. Another project brought to you by Artisan Builders. The Seward Plantation restoration began today. Stay tuned to @artisanbuilt and my stories here. I promise this is shaping up to be an interesting, challenging and engaging project. More to come....... Morning has broken. The desolation of my lettuce plant: cabbage loopers have descended upon my garden with great vengeance- attacking not only the lettuce but the broccoli and Brussel sprouts. Laying waste and leaving nothing but a path of destruction in their wake. Do not go gentle into that goodnight.... urban farmer turns vigilante. No looper left alive... all must parish. We must kill the entire bloodline. The very fate of our tiny garden depends on it......
