Very unique and impressive. I also like that deer/elk on the table in one of the shots. Is that something you also made? Mark.

Thanks, I can’t take credit for the candle holder in the the foreground it’s a cast bronze my parents gave me years ago but it does look like something I would make. Except I would figure out some way to make it strange….

Pretty cool. I was doing wall art based on negative spaces years ago but shadows…well that never occurred to me. I have been neglecting the Tohner lately.

Ha ha..#artisanbuilders#customhomes#txbuilder#myviewfromwork#rigid#rigidtools#homedepot#builder Throwback Thursday - a little custom house we built many moons ago and my favorite stair project to date- a ships ladder to access the upstairs loft.In addition we got to site build all of the interior doors.small-Simplicity #artisanbuilders#customhomes#txbuilder#familybusiness#shipsladder#customwoodworker#austincounty #millcreektx#tbt#shelter#smallhomes# Full scale version of the Great blue heron finished up today. Carved from western red cedar torched and then brushed with a solid color stain "driftwood grey" that was rubbed down to expose grain and detail. Finished it off with a clear satin finish and since the heron was full scale size of an adult heron with a wingspan of over 5' I attached an organic shaped base plate made from long leaf pine to help with supporting the weight when mounting it to the wall. I found some perfectly sized river rocks to use for the eyes. Final destination for this piece is a house we just finished building.#onetreewoodwork #woodcarving#blueheron#rusticwoodwork#birdsinflight#wildernessart#dowhatyoulove
